A few months after I arrived in the UK back in 2017, I’ve registered on different points cards. One of the requirements on my visa extension, at that time, was correspondence. I was not allowed to work which was a condition under the fiancé visa so I have limited options at that time. These points cards have its advantages when you accumulated enough points to get yourself something for free!
I got myself a ‘free’ Ninja wok! I’ve been saving my Nectar points this year thinking to use it towards our Christmas grocery shop. However, I saw this wok in Argos and decided to get it instead. The timing was right because I was replacing my saucepans and wok.
Applying for those points cards a few years ago was not a bad idea after all! If you have a few of them, I recommend saving all your points towards the end of the year and buy something you need or want.
