Random Thoughts: October Wrap Up

I thought to write this October wrap up post to give a quick update (or rant) about life lately and share my thoughts about certain things or topics. And as always, may this post have been useful to you (wink).

Pancake and Aldi

I think I’ve found the best mini pancake in the world! The taste is delicious and I love the texture. The taste is very buttery, and I loved that ‘buttery burnt’ taste while I savour each bite. For £1.99, it’s a treat!

This is best served with a generous portion of Hazelnut spread. I would recommend Bonne Maman, it is a lot better than Nutella!

Aldi is my favourite grocery store recently. I swear they offer great range of products. I love the hash brown with cheese, one of the best hash browns ever! Calamari is also the best!

Labubu Mania!

When I first saw a Labubu doll on my social media feed, I initially didn’t understand why a lot of people loved it. From kids to adults, they were all raving about it. Like c’mon, it’s not like Hello Kitty that looks very demure and very cutesy! Long story short, over time my opinions have changed and followed the hype. So I decided to buy a blind box and got DaDa (pink Labubu).

Then when I saw the Fall in the Wild Labubu series, I bought it as well. These Labubus are irresistible, and can also be used as bag accessories. I think I’m going to stop with these 2 just because I don’t think I will have space for more (ugh!)!

Filipino Foods

Whenever possible, I try to support Filipino businesses. For this month, I ordered from 3 Filipino online shops I’ve not tried in the past.

I should probably post a separate review on these for guidance to those who are interested to know. I swear, Theo Panadero has the best milky bread!

Perfumes

I don’t know what’s gotten into me, but I’ve been going crazy shopping for perfumes over the last few weeks! It could be due to stress, or maybe it’s because it’s been a few months since I last bought one.

I’ve purchased perfumes from Santa Maria Novella and Diptyque. I love Diptyque’s Fleur de Peau; it’s a beautiful skin scent perfume. The only downside is that it doesn’t last very long.

One thing I’ve realized while writing this post is that I may have been spending too much on various things. I remember mentioning in an old post that I should focus on increasing my savings. But with how busy my life has been over the last few months, I think I deserved to pamper and treat myself. There should be at least a balance between indulging and saving, as life is meant to be enjoyed, too.

I’ve worked hard for what I have, and I’m also thankful to have a very supportive and generous husband. I’m always grateful.

How do you cope when life gets busier than usual? Do you also go on a shopping spree from time to time?
