My Kiehl’s Skincare Products

I’m amazed with the wide range of brands here in the UK. In the Philippines, I only know certain names like Nivea, Olay, Garnier, Clinique, some Korean brands, etc. There’s not much options to choose from compared to the availability of brands here in Europe.

So, one time when I was in a hunt to find a really nice hand cream as my Palmer’s lotion can no longer beat up the cold winter season, I ended up in Selfridges in Manchester. That ‘mini’ shopping ended up with more products. And mind you, it was bought from only one store!

I ended up with these:

1. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate (£38)

This is an oil that I usually put on at night after I cleanse. I’ve tried Human Nature’s Sunflower Oil which was fab but somewhat greasy. It’s like putting cooking oil on the face. This concentrated oil from Kiehl’s usually dries up after a couple of minutes and not that greasy. I love oils, but I think from what I’ve tried, Kiehl’s is better.

The staff told me this is one of their bestselling products.

2. Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve (£22)

I’m all hands down on this one. When winter started, my cuticles started to get really dry to the point it nick. The Palmer’s lotion that I’ve been using prior winter was really good, but not for winter season. So, I was in the quest to find that will suit my needs and hopefully heal my cuticles.

The staff has recommended their Kiehl’s hand salve. She said it’s really good especially to people with dry hands. To be fair, it’s true. It healed my cuticles.

3. Kiehl’s Crème de Corps Light Weight Body Lotion (£28)

Since my Palmer’s lotion is no longer working on me, I decided to get this light-weight lotion. Well, just because I like the sound of it!

Actually, it speaks for itself. The lotion is really lightweight and quickly dries up. Unlike the normal lotion that will take a bit time before drying up. And it’s not greasy!

4. Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner (£34.50)

So after after a few weeks of trying Kiehl’s products, I was really into it. So in my next visit in Selfridges, I ended up getting the Calendula toner. The staff has recommended this for people with oily skin (which I have).

Another good thing with this toner is it has real petals in it! Fab!

5. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser

I only got this cleanser for free after buying so much products from them. It’s only 30mL but seems to have lasted for 4weeks now. I noticed it’s gentle and doesn’t dry up my skin. Some blackheads have cleared up from my nose area which is good.

I’ve been using Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser before I switched to Kiehls. However, Biore was not that ‘deep pore cleanser’ as the stubborn blackheads were still in.

My Thoughts

I’m honestly loving Kiehl’s! I have nothing bad to say with this brand. Their products are like ‘holy grails’.

The midnight recovery concentrate is my favorite. I can definitely see a difference on my face. The dark marks are slowly fading and I’m confident to go out (nearby shop) with just a primer on!

This brand may be a bit expensive but it’s worth it. I believe investing on good skincare products is essential. What we use will have long-term effect and once our skin is damage it will take some time to heal.
