Postcard Series: Darwen Tower

Darwen Tower, also known as Jubilee Tower, was built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. The tower was completed in 1898, a year after the Queen’s jubilee.

If you like hiking, this is a good place to visit. And make sure to wear appropriate clothes and shoes. The first time I went up, I was wearing Skechers shoes. I had body pains for a good few days. The second time I went up, I wore my Brooks shoes with a good support and it was fantastic! No body pains or whatsoever.

The climb has a great view of Darwen and nearby towns.
